Pixar Storytelling

Andrew Stanton (“Toy Story,” “WALL-E”) letting peeps know what he knows about storytelling. Those guys at Pixar are breaking out into live-action, and with Brad Birds success with MI4, well, I’m glad Hollywood is allowing (allowing is to polite; PIxar guys make money!) talented storytellers take rein on big-budget films.:

 

Happy Together - Wong Kar Wai

As a filmmaker, Wong Kar Wai has influenced me like no other…. along with his cinematographer, Christopher Doyle, he seamlessly weaves different camera techniques, color palettes and non-linear narratives that pulls you in like a sideshow carnival.   Happy Together - one of his best - is a story of a deteriorating relationship between 2 Chinese men in Argentina.
